INFORMATION ON UNDERWATER COURSES

TYPES OF COURSE * Whether you are a complete beginner or a semi-pro, I will design a course that covers your requirements. * The full 5 day courses will take you through the entire process of making an underwater wildlife film so that each student will aim to complete a 3 minute video DVD, shot, edited and narrated by themselves. (If you don't want to edit and just concentrate on camera work........no problem.) * Special GoPro courses. Come and do a trial dive for a day with us and Atlantic Scuba in Falmouth Cornwall (UK). See what you can really do with your GoPro. *There are 1 & 2 day special short taster courses where students can concentrate on any particular aspect of filmmaking. Camera work, editing, scripting..... you decide. Contact me for details.
************ Great footage can easily be ruined by bad editing. The standard 5 day course is a combination of knowing your camera, researching your subject, choosing a location, creating a story and taking good video while at the same time being aware of how everything will come together in the edit. |
EQUIPMENT NEEDED Cameras: Students will need their own underwater camera/housing, although sharing with a friend is an option. Lights: Lighting although not essential, is extremely important. One light is ample. If you are thinking of purchasing cameras or lights, then do contact me for advice Editing: If you are considering the edit option as well, then there are many video editing software packages on the market. If you are new to this, I would highly reccomend looking at Adobe Premiere Elements. It is cheap, very versatile and easy to understand. You will need your own laptop. |
